Rental FAQ’s

Q. Can I order an instrument over the phone?
A. We cannot. We must have a completed and signed rental agreement. If you do not have a rental agreement, you can download it from our website, complete it and fax it to us.

Q. How will I receive my instrument?
A. The instrument will be delivered directly to your child’s school. Your child will be notified by their music teacher or the school’s main office to pick it up.

Q. Will I need to buy any supplies to get my child started?
A. Basic accessories are included with the instrument to start playing. You may purchase other recommended items such as extra reeds, extra oils and a music stand through us.

Q. I am paying by check. Why do you need my credit card information?
A. A form of security is required to rent an instrument, supplying this information establishes the fact that you have a credit history. Signing your rental agreement and supplying the credit card information gives the company the right to charge your credit card for any unpaid overdue balances.

Q. I don’t have a credit card. Can I still rent an instrument?
A. Yes. You may rent an instrument by supplying a security deposit. Price varies depending on the cost of the instrument.

Q. Is my personal information safe with Rayburn Music Co.?
A. We do not supply or sell information to any businesses or organizations. Our privacy disclosure is available on request.

Q. What if my child’s instrument becomes damaged or is lost or stolen? Am I responsible?
A. Providing your account is up to date, you have Loss, Damage, Theft coverage (LDT) built into your payments that covers all of the above.

Q. If my child’s instrument needs repair, do I have to drive to the West Hartford office?
A. No. We make weekly service calls to your child’s school. Simply call us to arrange a pick up. We will supply a loaner at no charge while the repair is being done.
